About Artist Spotlight & how selections work
Artist Spotlight is Waves the Creator's independent music discovery and editorial platform, created to recognize artists, highlight new releases, and share the stories behind the music.
Through live music submissions and offline music reviews, Waves discovers talent across genres and stages of development. Each week he nominates as many artists as he chooses. The following week, he selects five from those nominations for dedicated Spotlight articles.
Beyond the Weekly Top Five, Artist Spotlight features interviews, new music, creative journeys, and independent music stories. It's about recognizing the artists and the work behind the music—not selling recognition.
